What happened
Veradermics, Incorporated (NYSE: MANE) said VDPHL01 met all primary and secondary endpoints in its Phase 3 Study 304 of male pattern hair loss. The company said the oral extended-release minoxidil formulation posted high statistical significance in both once-daily and twice-daily arms.
Study 304 enrolled 536 participants. They were randomized to VDPHL01 8.5 mg once daily, VDPHL01 8.5 mg twice daily, or placebo. At Month 6, mean target area hair count rose 28.6 hairs cm in the once-daily arm and 36.4 hairs cm in the twice-daily arm, compared with 6.6 hairs cm for placebo. The company also said 78.8% and 85.0% of participants reported visible improvement, compared with 35.3% of placebo participants.
The company said hair growth was statistically different from placebo by Month 2, the first time point it checked. It also said more than 1,000 participants across two registration-directed studies showed no new safety signals, and that Study 304 looked consistent with Study 302.

Why it matters
OptimistFi's case is that Veradermics is a high-burn, late clinical-stage dermatology bet whose value depends on proving differentiated therapies and financing them to approval without crippling dilution. This filing supports that view by adding another placebo-controlled readout in the same male program and by matching the earlier Study 302 signal on the same endpoints.
Using OptimistFi's calculation from the filing's figures, visible improvement was 43.5 percentage points higher in the once-daily arm than in placebo at Month 6. The filing also says the program has now reported positive placebo-controlled data from two registration-directed trials that together enrolled more than 1,000 male participants.
The main risk is that these are topline results for an investigational drug. The filing says no head-to-head studies against finasteride or other forms of minoxidil have been done, and longer-term Study 302 Part B and Study 306 data are still pending.

What's next
Veradermics said it will host a conference call and live webcast today at 8:00 a.m. ET. It also expects Part B data from Study 302 later this year and topline Study 306 data in the first half of 2027.
More data showing the response holds through the extension period would strengthen the case. Weaker follow-up data would weaken it.
