Why it matters
OptimistFi's case is that Invesco works if client assets and fees stabilize while scale economics recover from recent GAAP losses.
This filing weakens that case. AUM fell and outflows continued.
Month-end AUM was $27.6 billion above the quarter's preliminary average total AUM, but the monthly trend was still lower.
The biggest monthly drags were $16 billion of unfavorable market returns and $2.7 billion of FX pressure.
Reinvested distributions added $0.9 billion, but that did not fully offset the drag.
The same release showed both long-term and money market outflows, so the pressure was not limited to one area.
Preliminary average active AUM of $1,246.0 billion shows the platform still has a large active base.
The September numbers are preliminary, so they could still change before Invesco finalizes them.

What's next
The September figures are preliminary and subject to adjustment.
The next quarterly report is the next scheduled update.
A steadier AUM print and smaller outflows would support stabilization.
Another drop in AUM or larger outflows would weaken the case further.
For now, investors have a month-end snapshot rather than a final figure.
A final adjustment could still change the September AUM reading.
