
Vislink Technologies (NASDAQ:VISL) CEO Mickey Miller said the company is expanding its focus on defense and public-safety markets while continuing to serve broadcast and live-event customers with wireless video transmission, data communications and AI-enabled connectivity products.
During a company update, Miller described Vislink as a provider of mission-critical, real-time video intelligence technology that can transmit live video, data and voice in difficult radio-frequency environments. The company’s technology combines RF transmission, bonded connectivity, mesh networking, 5G and satellite communications, with AI capabilities layered into its products and operations.
Second-Quarter Revenue Growth and EBITDA Progress
Miller said Vislink generated $5.8 million in second-quarter revenue, up 22.6% from a year earlier. For the first half of 2026 ended in June, revenue totaled $11.3 million, representing growth of 19.6% year over year.
The company also reported two consecutive quarters of positive non-GAAP EBITDA, according to Miller. He said the results included what he characterized as significant investments in research and development and business development intended to support future defense-related revenue opportunities.
Miller noted that Vislink’s current revenue does not yet include a material contribution from U.S. or European defense departments. He said the company has shifted from being approximately 80% broadcast historically to an even split between broadcast and government markets in the first quarter. Vislink sees a path toward having defense and public safety account for 70% of its business while maintaining broadcast revenue at current levels, he said.
New Products Target Tactical Connectivity
Among the company’s recently introduced products is DOME, short for Deployable Operational Mobile Edge. Miller described DOME as a deployable 5G “tactical bubble” that can connect rotary aircraft, drones, uncrewed systems and NATO allies. The product can be backhauled through satellite or tactical mesh networks and supports edge AI decision-making, he said.
Vislink also introduced Air to Anywhere products, including the Aero5 5G Starlink bonded solution and the AeroLink RF product. Miller said Aero5 is a ruggedized aircraft-grade transmitter that captures and compresses onboard video feeds, then combines multiple modem connections with low-Earth-orbit satellite connectivity for resilient, high-bandwidth transmission.
The system is managed through Vislink’s LinkMatrix software platform, according to Miller. He said the technology can enable public-safety users to rely on terrestrial networks rather than operating dedicated receive networks, while supporting low-latency 4K video transmission.

Defense Opportunity Remains a Focus
Miller said Vislink has worked with more than 200 defense and public-safety users over time, including the U.S. Army, Air Force and Department of Homeland Security, as well as aerospace and defense partners Airbus, L3Harris Technologies and Northrop Grumman.
He pointed to increased defense spending as a potential market tailwind, citing NATO’s stated commitment to reach 5% of GDP by 2035, a 20% increase in European and Canadian defense spending during 2025 to $571 billion, and a U.S. defense authorization budget of $901 billion for 2026.
Miller also highlighted projected growth in uncrewed systems, saying drones, unmanned surface vessels and ground vehicles require resilient communications links to command systems. Vislink’s ability to support RF, mesh, 5G and satellite connectivity across multiple platforms is intended to address that need, he said.
Asked when the company expects orders from the U.S. Department of Defense, Miller said timing is difficult to predict. He said Vislink is involved in several programs across different military services and is building its platform with partners. The ability to scale quickly and meet defense requirements is a key priority, he added.
On AI, Miller said the company expects to incorporate AI both into customer products and throughout its internal operations, including go-to-market efforts, product development, mechanical design and software design. He said the company believes those efforts can help it develop products faster, improve customer support and grow without increasing headcount at the same pace.
