Why it matters
OptimistFi's case is that Bloom Energy is a leveraged bet that grid-constrained AI and commercial power demand turns its solid-oxide fuel-cell systems into a profitable, cash-generative distributed-power platform.
This quarter supports that view. Revenue rose 16.0% from Q2 to $1.24 billion. Product revenue reached $1.07 billion, and gross margin rose to 33.8% from 29.2%.
Operating income was $225.4 million, and diluted EPS was $0.78. Both were better than a year earlier. Management also lifted full-year 2026 revenue guidance to $4.4 billion to $4.6 billion and non-GAAP operating income to $960 million to $1.03 billion.
The higher guide matters because management said year-to-date performance and customer demand gave it confidence to raise the 2026 outlook for the third time this year.
But net cash used in operating activities was $27.15 million, so the quarter did not prove that reported earnings are turning into cash.
The filing also warns about AI adoption, financing, supply constraints, installation delays and debt service, which could slow the plan.

What's next
Bloom Energy will host a conference call today, October 22, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. Pacific Time, or 5:00 p.m. Eastern Time.
The webcast will be archived after the call, and a telephonic replay will be available for one week.
Commentary that supports the new revenue range and demand backdrop would strengthen the case. Softer remarks on financing or installation delays would weaken it.
