Evolution Metals (NASDAQ: EMAT) lifts fiscal 2026 guidance on strong demand

What happened

Evolution Metals Technologies Corp. (NASDAQ: EMAT) raised fiscal 2026 revenue guidance to $10 million to $11 million on October 9, 2026. That was up from $5 million to $8 million announced on September 10, 2026. The company also reaffirmed fiscal 2027 revenue guidance of $400 million to $460 million. The release said the higher outlook reflects an expanded ex-China rare earth feedstock position, better rare earth pricing and continued strong commercial demand.

EMAT said 13 additional ULVAC sintered magnet production machines are scheduled for delivery in October 2026. Installation is set to begin right after delivery in Pohang, Republic of Korea. Once the machines are running, the company expects annual magnet production capacity to exceed 10,000 metric tons, including about 6,000 metric tons of high-performance sintered magnets. The company also plans a December 17, 2026 showcase at the Pohang facility.

Why it matters

OptimistFi's comparison shows the reaffirmed $430 million fiscal 2027 midpoint is about 41 times the raised fiscal 2026 midpoint of $10.5 million. That points to a sharp revenue ramp if the buildout stays on schedule. The filing also says the guidance is based on management expectations and anticipated customer demand, not contracted volumes. Revenue still depends on turning demand into firm orders and shipments.

The filing says delays in equipment delivery, installation and commissioning, working capital or other financing, non-China rare earth feedstock, and customer qualification requirements could affect results. OptimistFi's case is that common-equity value depends first on proving customer pull and resolving a funding overhang. This update helps on the demand side, but execution still matters because the outlook depends on higher production that is not yet fully in place.

What's next

The 13 ULVAC machines are due in October 2026, and installation is set to start immediately after delivery in Pohang. The December 17, 2026 showcase is the next dated milestone in the release. If the company installs the equipment and brings the added capacity online, that would support the raised 2026 outlook. Any delay in delivery or commissioning would weaken the case for the ramp.

The filing also says DFARS 252.225-7052 is expected to extend the mine-to-magnet restriction across the supply chain beginning January 1, 2027. That gives investors another marker for whether EMAT's non-China supply position can translate into shipments.
