Germany flips Change Baltic Sea wind park on

Germany has switched on the offshore wind park at the Baltic Sea, that will provide some 400,000 households using power.

It’s operated energy giant Equinor and by German utility business Eon.

Over 40% of Germany’s electricity was generated using renewable resources like solar and wind last year. The country aims to receive 65% of its electricity from renewables as a part of its effort to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 2030.

Chancellor Angela Merkel mentioned over the weekend that the government will determine the end of the year concentrate more or if to set sector-specific emissions targets.
