The owner and publisher of the New York Amsterdam News, one of the nation's oldest Black newspapers, has donated funds to the Department of English and Mass Communications.
Wilbert A. Tatum, an alumnus of Lincoln University and his wife Susan, has made a gift of $5,000 to the university to support students in the Mass Communications program.
"We are grateful to have alumni express their confidence in our Mass Communications program by giving us funds that we use to provide students with extra benefits like conference attendance and workshop participation," says Dr. Marilyn D. Button, chair of the Department of English and Mass Communications.
According to Button, the Tatums have donated to the university in the past.
