"He is just a special player," said Head Coach Mass Sarr Jr. "He has excellent dribbling ability, good touch on the ball and he has an excellent left foot."
Rob Knox, director of Sports Information at Lincoln said that Jarbo's skills on the field are impressive.
"Peter makes the game of soccer look easy. More importantly, he is very humble and always plays hard on the soccer field," said Knox.
Affectionately known as Zizou- a name given to him because of his liking to international soccer legend Zinedine Zidane, Jarbo was born to Mary W. Jarbo in Liberia, a country on the west coast of Africa and also a country ravaged by two civil wars.
He is the oldest of four siblings: Prince, 19, Princess, 16, and Jeremiah, 21.
The Jarbos relocated from Liberia to the United States in 2004, where Jarbo graduated from Carver Mission Academy in Philadelphia. He is now a senior at Lincoln and is majoring in business administration. After graduating from Lincoln, Jarbo hopes to play professional soccer either in the United States or overseas. Jarbo has received offers to play for clubs in Europe. Last season, he received an offer to tryout for a Major League Soccer team.
In his free time, Jarbo enjoys singing, dancing, reading and playing soccer. His favorite movie is "Black Mack" and his favorite television show is "Martin." Jarbo enjoys eating rice and fish and loves reading "Things Fall Apart," his favorite book.
