After spending a year on hiatus, Lincoln's radio station, WWLU is back on the airwaves.

The station relaunched earlier this week, after staffers spent last week promoting the relaunch. Students canvassed the cafeteria encouraging students and faculty to tune in to the station.

Currently, the station is not streaming any live radio shows but students, faculty and staff can listen to music around the clock. According to officials at the radio station there were tryouts held for students interested in hosting their own show.

Donnell Bolds, a political science major and senior at Lincoln, has been appointed the program director for the 2007-2008 academic year and is responsible for overseeing all shows broadcasted on the station.

"This will be an all new radio experience unlike any other heard on WWLU radio station," said Bolds."Expect the unexpected; make sure you tune in all day, everyday or you might miss what everyone will be talking about the next day in the Café."

You can tune in to WWLU by turning to 88.7 F.M. on your radio dial.
