While most students spent their summer working, shopping or completing an internship, Dana Williams was in Los Angeles for a taping of the Judge Joe Brown court show.

Williams, a junior, plead for justice in Joe Brown's courtroom after a male friend ran up a cell phone bill that totaled $1,083.

The producers of the Judge Joe Brown show took an interest in Williams' case and flew her to Los Angeles for two days to make her case before Judge Brown.

Williams said that she was nervous at first but then became comfortable as she told her story to the Judge.

"When it comes to your money, you can't trust everyone," said Williams.
